A skeptic, it was our mission to prove to Natalie that we could use social media advertisement to increase her online monthly subscriptions, overall brand awareness and drive more engagement to her Instagram page.

First, we needed to define her brand’s social media budget, which depends on four variables:

  • The Campaign Strategy

  • Her Target Audiences

After assessing her social media channels, we decided that Instagram would be the main platform to launch the ads and successfully drive more subscriptions.

Using a budget of $500/month, we set up a Facebook Pixel on her website. A Facebook Pixel is a code that businesses can plug into their website in order to track website conversions. By doing this, SAAV was able to report on which audiences and ads her users were interacting with and what they were doing when they were on the website. Our goal with the Facebook Pixel was to be able to ultimately track her Return On Ad Spend and see which audiences were purchasing subscriptions from her website.

With 3 variations of creative Instagram Story graphics, we created social media ads with a CTA to subscribe to her online program. By swiping up on the Instagram Story, users were directed to Natalie’s website. SAAV used these ads to test 3 different audiences that we believed would resonate with Natalie’s brand, working closely with her to determine the audiences that made the most since for her brand. Within the first 10 days of testing these audiences, we had already received 2 website purchases.

From there, we were able to start optimizing our audiences and determining which audiences were the best performing in regards to Purchases, Link Clicks, and Landing Page Views.

By the end of the first month, we had a total of 8 website purchases with just a $500 monthly budget, and we were also able to track that 10 users initiated checkout! Natalie’s monthly social media report showed extraordinary results for Purchases, Reach, Follower Growth, and Engagement compared to the previous month (before she began paid social media, increasing her performance almost 10x.

    • Surpassed industry average (5.91%) for post engagement with 10.03%

    • Led the competitive set for follower growth and engagement rate compared to 5 of her competitors

*Natalie’s subscribers are based on a monthly or annual subscription. If the users who purchased her subscription continue to subscribe, her ROAS will quickly become positive.
